Devon and Cornwall Archery Society is the county organization supporting clubs in the far South West. It provides support for Judges and Coaches as well as organizing a number of County Tournaments, hosted by local clubs.

Portsmouth rounds – 5 dozen arrows shot at 20 yards.
All senior compound archers will shoot on vertical triple 60cm faces, while all other categories will use single 60cm faces (2 archers per target for each end).

Session Times
Session A Assembly 8.45 am (Local archers are asked to enter the early sessions if possible)
Session B Assembly 12.00 midday
Session C Assembly 3.00 pm
In all cases shooting will commence immediately after assembly. Entries for double sessions subject to availability, but only first round shot for bow style eligible for awards.
Shooting
Four archers per boss in two details of two. Arrows will be shot in ends of three. Where possible we will be using foam bosses (definitely for compound archers)
Entry Fee
£14.00 per session (Juniors £8.00 per session). Late entries and refunds at discretion of TO. NO refunds made after the closing date.

Saturday 13th Jan 2024
Awards
Trophies and medals single Portsmouth rounds according to entries. (only awarded to competitors present at the ceremony)
Dress
Rule 307 Dress regulations: No blue jeans or tops/shirts bearing non-archery related logos.
Soft-shoes with non-marking soles must be worn in the sports hall.
Drug Testing
Record status tournaments will be liable for drug testing and competitors approached to give samples must comply. If they refuse, that refusal will be treated as a positive result. Entries from archers under the age of 18 must be acknowledged by a parent/guardian to signify their consent to their child being drug tested if asked.
Cameras
Anyone wishing to take photographs at this event must register with the TO.
Refreshments
Light refreshments will be available throughout the day
Directions
From Exeter / Newton Abbot follow the Ring Road and keep following the signs for Brixham. Carry straight on at the traffic lights at the Totnes Rd. junction. In 2 miles, bear right at the traffic lights onto the A3022 (Dartmouth Rd.) and in half a mile, turn right into Greenway Rd. where Churston Grammar School is approx 300yds down on the left. Please park in the main school car park.
From Plymouth / Totnes, when entering Torbay turn right at the traffic lights onto the Brixham Road (A3022) and keep following signs for Brixham. In 2 miles, proceed as above onto the Dartmouth Rd
