DCAS has awarded the following DCAS Honorary Lifetime Memberships
The DCAS Committee wanted to recognize the following individuals who have made exceptional contributions to coaching and development within our archery community. Each nominee has demonstrated outstanding dedication, resilience, and commitment to supporting both junior and senior archers over many years.
Malcolm Grant
Malcolm has been an invaluable support to archers with upper limb disabilities, helping them either start shooting or continue their journey in the sport. His willingness to assist anyone and his commitment to learning and improving himself serve as an inspiration to both juniors and seniors.
Keith Hawksford
Keith has been a constant and key contributor to coaching at squad sessions since 2013, working tirelessly with both junior and senior archers and offering support beyond training sessions. His dedication and consistency have played a significant role in developing archery talent within DCAS. Despite facing personal and health challenges, Keith has continued to give his time and expertise, demonstrating remarkable resilience and commitment to the sport.
Alan Hayden
Alan has been actively involved in DCAS coaching sessions since 2008 and has been a consistent and integral part of squad coaching since 2013. He has contributed significantly to team management, including drafting team selection criteria, and brings valuable experience from competing at an international level. Alan has an exceptional ability to diagnose problems and provide clear, practical solutions. Despite not being a DCAS member, he has always been willing to travel and support both juniors and seniors. Remarkably, Alan has continued to give his time and expertise even while managing his own personal disabilities and health conditions, demonstrating extraordinary resilience and commitment to the sport.
